Dec 6 | Richmond Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
The holidays kick off with the annual Tree Lighting ceremony hosted by the City of Richmond and Historic Richmond Association, the Friday night before the first Saturday of December- this year, December 6th at 6 pm at City Hall Park Plaza! Experience the Spirit of the Holidays when the 'switch is flipped' to turn on the holiday tree lights followed by two showings of the old fashioned Grinch movie, allowing attendees to enjoy the Community Walk through the historic district for Free Family holiday spirited fun!
Dec 7 | Miracle on Morton Street
Bringing the 17th Annual MIRACLE ON MORTON STREET Holiday Event to downtown Richmond once again! You will find Shopping, Food, Live Entertainment and SANTA, so come one and all!
Now - Jan 5 | Sugar Land Holiday Lights
The sixth annual Sugar Land Holiday Lights, presented by Imperial Sugar, will showcase more than 3 million holiday lights at Constellation Field. Attendees can shop vendors, enjoy food and meet Santa. The event runs until Jan. 5 with themed nights throughout. 6-9 p.m., $12-$16 (Sun.-Thu.). 6-10 p.m., $14-$16 (Fri.-Sat.). 1 Stadium Drive, Sugar Land. 281-240-4487.
Now - Dec 25 | Project Noel
The Volunteer Services Council of the Richmond State Supported Living Center is hosting their annual Project Noel every night from 6 to 9 pm for citizens viewing pleasure. For more than 40 years RSSLC has been delighting visitors of all ages with a collection of holiday lighted displays featuring favorites from Santa Clause to Rudolph with scenes spread around the 241 acre campus, enabling visitors to drive through the campus.
Dec. 15 | Rudolph’s Wagon Parade
Rudolph is calling on all kids (12 and under) to round up their wagons, decorate them with lights and other festive ornaments and prepare for a magical parade under the lights at Constellation Field! HOURS: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. $10 admission for kids participating in parade.
Dec. 21 | Holidays in the Plaza
First Colony Church of Christ’s band will be warming up Town Square with the sound of its blended contemporary and classic Christmas music as it performs modern and acappella versions of your favorite carols and fun Christmas favorites. We hope you’ll join us for a great family night out as we rock around the Christmas tree!
Dec 22 | Photos with Santa
Enjoy a free holiday photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Photos will take place at 2180 Lone Star Drive. Since it is the season of giving, bring new stuffed animals for the Fort Bend Rainbow Room’s Christmas Project. All donations will go to children and adults referred by caseworkers from the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services.
Dec. 22 | Giant Menorah Lighting Celebration
Come celebrate Chanukah and the lighting of the giant menorah with Chabad of Sugar Land! There will be a greeting by dignitaries, arts and crafts for children, Israeli food, performances, live music, dancing and more. For additional information, please call Rabbi Mendel Feigenson at 832-758-0685.
